Hourly Rate: Up to £35.51 (inclusive of holiday and preparation allowance)
Contract Type: 0 hour contract, fixed term until 31st August 2026
Working Hours: Part time, 2 evenings a week

You will plan and deliver engaging sessions to Adult learners focused on the skills required for employment in site Carpentry. This role would suit someone with experience in site carpentry. A teaching qualification is desirable, though support will be provided for the right candidate to achieve one.

- Carry out first fix flooring and roofing
- Carry out first fix frames, partitions and stairs
- Carry out second fixing operations
- Carry out carpentry maintenance
- Set up and operate a circular saw
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching in site carpentry skills.
- Monitor learner progress, support achievement, and encourage progression into further training or employment.
- Keep up to date with developments in the construction industry.
- Ensure adherence to SGS's Quality Management systems, safeguarding responsibilities, and health and safety practices
- Industry experience in site carpentry.
- A teaching or assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Excellent communication skills and a learner-focused attitude.
- Passionate about the future of the construction industry.
