JOB TITLE: Shipping Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Logistics
RESPONSIBLE TO: Departmental Manager/Supervisor
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. The post holder may be required at times to work outside his/her normal working hours for the effective performance of the duties of the post

Job Purpose:
To support a range of activities within the department by ensuring all clerical/administrative duties are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard.
Key Duties:
Action daily ship plan to support revenue targets and customer OTD
Check Operations documents to ensure compliance with agreed processes
Process Seat/Furniture sales orders in SAP through to PGI/Invoice
Scan all relevant Shipping documents and save into Shipping folders
Email copy shipping documents to Customers and Transport company’s
Ensure all departmental data is accurately inputted, updated regularly and any errors are corrected, investigated and reported appropriately.
Communicate effectively with Operations/Transport suppliers/customers, ensuring positive working relationships are developed/maintained.

Essential Criteria:
GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language (grades A to C)
Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in an administrative role
Desirable Criteria:
Demonstrate previous experience in a similar administrative role within Manufacturing, Logistics, or Transport.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP system.
Well developed problem solving skills.
Demonstrate previous experience performing administration tasks
Competent with a range of IT packages (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
Note that on occasion this position will require the successful candidate to work over and above the 37.5 hours – evenings and/or weekends – to support department and company targets.
