About the Post:

Newsome Avenue provides residential overnight short breaks to children and young people with disabilities; learning disabilities, complex health needs, Autism, ADHD and associated behaviours. The home works alongside other short break service providers and professional agencies to meet the assessed needs of the children and young people.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated person who is able to meet the physical and emotionally demanding role of a Senior Residential Support Worker.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a residential setting with children and young people with disabilities/complex needs and/or vulnerable adults with complex needs/ disabilities. The successful applicant will need to evidence experience of direct work in a residential setting with young people.

This Senior post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced children’s Residential Support Worker to take on increased responsibility such as shift management and staff support.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate skills in working as part of a team as well as working on their own initiative.

The successful applicant will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification.

The successful applicant will work on a rota basis including weekends and Bank Holidays

The successful applicant will have a commitment to maintaining and developing a quality service and they will always contribute to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people and promote their education, health and wellbeing to effectively meet positive outcomes.
