Cook Job Description
Duties:
- Prepare meals according to recipes and quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner
- Wash dishes and clean the kitchen at the end of the shift
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized working area
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
-Complete all daily checks and records
Skills:
- Proven experience as a cook.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong understanding of food safety practices
- Good time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Being confident with British Cuisine
We are a small Care Home of 16 to 17 residents. We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing home made meals according to recipes and good quality standards. You will need to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean and organised work area, making sure that dishes are timely washed and available when needed.
You will be able to know all residents and be able to adapt to meet individuals' different dietary requirements.
