Scope and purpose
The project Co-ordinator will work across the level 3 programmes directorate to support the planning, execution and delivery of strands of work with a particular focus on the Advanced Maths Support Programme (AMSP) to ensure that it is delivered on time within scope and aligns with MEI’s overall mission.
Main duties and responsibilities
Project Planning & Management.
- Assisting project manager and strand leads in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of deadlines and deliverables.
- Track project progress and prepare status reports.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Support the tracking of KPI's and outcomes
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates
- Support the preparation of reports for internal leadership, trustees and funders
- Identify and help resolve project issues and risks
Administrative & Operational Support
- Organise and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
- Ensure compliance with organisational standards and best practices.
- Monitor resources to ensure project needs are met.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops, and presentations

The Local Lead will work closely with the following groups:
- Level 3 Programmes Director
- All Directors and Assistant Directors in Level 3 Programmes
- Financial Controller
- Senior Finance Administrator
- Operations Support Manager
- Deputy Operations Support Manager
- Marketing and Campaign Manager
- Senior Campaign Marketing Executive

Essential
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or similar
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar administrative/support role.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana, Monday.com, Jira).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people
- Certification in project management ( e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PFQ)
- Experience working in education or with schools/colleges
- Previous use of digital business tools such as CRM and Power BI Additional education, qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience that might be helpful for the role but not essential.

Additional information
This role will involve some travel and occasional overnight stays away from home. The role may also involve some occasional work on a Saturday.
