Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, contributing to the creation of high-quality baked goods. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene while assisting in various baking and kitchen tasks.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in quality and taste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Support the head baker in daily operations, including measuring ingredients and mixing dough.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and report shortages as necessary.
- Help with packaging finished products for display or sale.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or preparation is highly desirable.
- A background in culinary arts or bakery operations will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is preferred.
