Role Overview
As the Production Supervisor in a modular construction environment, you will play a critical role in overseeing the production of prefabricated bathroom pods. Supporting the Production Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations across your assigned area, ensuring the efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment to deliver high-quality pods in line with the production schedule and project deadlines.
This position requires hands-on leadership, strong planning and organisational skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, construction-manufacturing setting.
Core Responsibilities
Production & Workflow Management
· Manage daily production activities to ensure that bathroom pods are built to specification, on time, and within budget.
· Oversee workflow across production cells (e.g., plumbing, electrical, tiling, finishes), coordinating resources to maintain productivity and reduce downtime.
· Monitor and optimise material usage to minimise waste and ensure continuous production flow.
· Track KPIs such as output rates, quality metrics, and rework levels; implement improvements based on data analysis.
Team Supervision & Development
· Lead, supervise, and support a cross-functional team of operatives including joiners, plumbers, electricians, and finishers.
· Communicate clear daily objectives and ensure alignment with production targets.
· Deliver on-the-job training and mentoring, especially around installation practices, safety procedures, and build quality.
· Assist in the onboarding and integration of new team members.
Quality & Compliance
· Ensure each bathroom pod meets strict quality standards, technical drawings, and customer specifications.
· Liaise with the Quality Assurance team to manage inspections and address any non-conformances swiftly.
· Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions where defects or deviations occur.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to modular construction.
Continuous Improvement
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce build times, and improve finish quality.
· Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and participate in cross-departmental improvement teams.
· Support the implementation of modular construction best practices and innovation.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· Level 3 qualification in Leadership or equivalent (desirable).
· Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or above (desirable).
· Practical experience in modular construction or prefabrication (highly desirable).
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, construction specifications, and SOPs.
· Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) processes and construction sequencing. (desirable)
· Working knowledge of modern manufacturing and construction methodologies.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Proficient in HSEQ standards and best practices.
