Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, while also providing support in various human resources functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, accounting software, and human resources information systems (HRIS).
Duties
- Process payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Maintain employee records within HRIS, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Assist with the reconciliation of payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure seamless integration between payroll and accounts payable functions.
- Generate payroll reports for management review and assist in audits as required.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks or PeopleSoft for financial reporting and analysis.
- Support HR initiatives by providing payroll-related information for benefits administration and employee inquiries.
Skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Workday or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify discrepancies effectively.
- Experience with data entry tasks, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with human resources processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks or PeopleSoft, is advantageous.
- Understanding of accounts payable processes is beneficial.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees at all levels.
