Paint Shop Supervisor to manage daily operations of a paint shop, leading a team to ensure efficient and high-quality paint application. This role involves overseeing paint preparation, application, and finishing processes, as well as managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing workflows. Key Responsibilities
:• Team Management: Supervising a team of paint shop operatives, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
• Operational Oversight: Managing the day-to-day workflow, ensuring smooth operations from paint preparation to final quality checks.
• Quality Control: Implementing and enforcing quality standards, minimizing rework, and conducting thorough quality checks.
• Production Efficiency: Optimizing production processes, estimating painting times, and managing resources effectively.
• Health & Safety: Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations within the paint shop environment.
• Communication & Coordination: Liaising with other departments, such as production and logistics, to coordinate schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks. Key Skills and Experience
:• Supervisory Experience :Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role, managing and motivating a team.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of paint application techniques, paint types, and surface preparation methods.
• Production Knowledge: Understanding of production processes, workflow optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to paint application, equipment, or personnel.
• Health & Safety Awareness: A good understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure high-quality paint finishes and minimize rework.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
