We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical individual to join our AI development team as a LEGO Dataset Trainer. This role involves handling, identifying, organizing, and annotating LEGO bricks and assemblies to help train a machine learning model. The ideal candidate is passionate about LEGO, enjoys working with physical and digital systems, and can maintain focus over long periods of repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
The role will involve working a 2pm to 10pm shift at our warehouse in Rawtenstall as part of a small team
Key Responsibilities:
- Physically sort, assemble, and Identify, LEGO pieces based on size, shape, color, and function.
- Label and categorize LEGO pieces using internal software tools to train the AI system.
- Maintain detailed logs of training data, errors, and updates.
- Ensure accuracy, speed, and consistency in all annotation work.
- Handle LEGO materials with care and ensure their proper storage and organization.
- Report technical or logistical issues to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to follow structured protocols and quality control measures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and comfort working with small physical components.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently during assigned shift hours.
- Interest in LEGO, AI, or data annotation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with LEGO part identification or building.
- Experience with basic photography or image capture equipment.
- Knowledge of machine learning or computer vision concepts is a bonus (not required).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for handling small pieces.
- Occasional lifting (boxes of LEGO sets, up to ~10 kg).
