Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Project Trainer to deliver Verbal's unique Shared Reading Model in the Northern Ireland Criminal Justice System . Our Shared Reading Model combines bibliotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy(CBT)techniques to support mental health and emotional wellbeing through storytelling, literature and conversation.
As a Project Trainer your responsibilities include:
- Delivering Verbal's Shared Reading Model to participants across Maghaberry Prison & Hydebank Wood College & Women's Prison
- One hour face to face sessions with participants
- Consulting with various groups within the Northern Ireland Criminal Justice System
- Providing a quality, safe and coordinated Shared Reading service
All Creative Guided Collections and Guided Discussions have been created and selected by Verbal's Literature & Psychology team to meet the specific needs of the participants in each setting.

SALARY: £25,875 PRO RATA
CONTRACT: 18.5 HOURS PER WEEK
FIXED TERM to December 2027
LOCATION: REMOTE - Minimal need to attend Office
Qualifications
- Degree in Psychology or Health and Social Care, Social Work, Health & Development, Health Improvement
- Proven experience of engaging with people in small or large group settings
- Proven experience speaking and presenting to diverse audiences including presenting at seminars, workshops and training sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners
