Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent

We are very pleased to announce the availability of lectureships on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. We are able to offer candidates the opportunity to work across academic, selection and EDI aspects of the Course, including supervising doctoral and masters level research in a clinical area of their choice. Those appointed will have the opportunity to develop their interests in applied areas of clinical psychology and have a major role in organising one aspect of the Course, for example, selection/support for applicants or curriculum development.
It is a really exciting time for clinical psychology, and the course continues to expand in line with current and future NHS priorities. The Royal Holloway DClinPsy is a large well-respected training programme with an existing BABCP CBT pathway and systemic pathway. The post-holders will join an innovative and supportive team of over 20 academic staff with a range of expertise across child, adult, learning disability, health, older-adult and neuropsychology specialities. Students’ clinical experience spans North Thames services and working effectively with a range of NHS Trusts will be essential. Staff and student research is well supported within a vibrant Psychology Department, which is ranked in the top 5 psychology departments for research in the country.
These permanent posts are offered full or part-time (0.5 to 1.0 FTE). We offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package with generous annual leave and staff development opportunities, including a higher education teaching qualification. The posts are offered as professional practice contracts with a clinical market supplement and applicants are required to be HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists with a recognised qualification in clinical psychology. Ideally, we would appoint those with some clinical experience, but we are open to considering newly qualified clinical psychology post-graduates, as mentoring and training are offered in the role. BABCP or AFT accreditation would be an advantage.
The posts are based in Egham, where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. Hybrid working is usual and a mix of working from home and working in the department is offered if desired. Information about our existing research and teaching programmes can be found here: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/research-and-education/departments-and-schools/psychology/
Informal enquiries regarding these posts can be directed to the DClinPsy Course Director, Professor Helen Pote ([email protected]) or DClinPsy Deputy Course Director, Dr Kate Theodore ([email protected]).
