Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens and garments in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all items are laundered, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. Previous experience in a hotel or similar setting is preferred, as you will be working closely with guests' personal items as well as hotel linens.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently, ensuring proper loading and unloading of laundry.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols for handling chemicals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns related to laundry services.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
- Experience with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in cleaning and presentation.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous hotel experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £13.17-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
