Full-time post 35 hours per week
Shift times: 7.30am- 3pm based on rotating shift pattern 5 over 7 days
£12.25 per hour (increased to £12.75 after 2 months)
Elder Homes Ltd is currently seeking a Laundry/Domestic Assistant to join our Hotel Services Department. With excellent teamworking and customer service skills, the successful candidates will be responsible for a range of cleaning/laundry duties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort out washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, drier and iron stages. Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
- Launder all items in accordance within infection control, best practice and the Company policies and procedures.
- Return residents’ personal items to their room, ensuring it is stored in a tidy and ordered fashion. Ensure systems for the identification and correct return of personal clothing are effective.
- Collect soiled linen from rooms and deliver fresh linen on a daily basis.
- Cleaning residents’ rooms and communal areas around the home
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the home.
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchens

Candidate Requirements:
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills, together with the ability to take a flexible approach to your work.
Fluent English language skills are required.
Successful applicants will be subject to a PVG check and satisfactory references.
Previous relevant experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given
