Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding. This role involves fabricating and assembling components using sheet metal and other materials, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment to join metal parts according to specifications.
- Fabricate components from blueprints or technical drawings, ensuring accuracy in measurements and assembly.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any production issues that may arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Experience in fabricating and assembling components from sheet metal is advantageous.
- Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to the welding trade.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
