We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team on site / field welder. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding and capable of working on various projects in a fast paced environment. Self employed basis. With at least 10 years experience
Responsibilities
- Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Perform welding tasks on sheet metal and other materials, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various fabrication processes.
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the welding process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with knowledge of stick welding being advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to welding and fabrication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality welds.
