Task Master Colne is seeking an experienced, time-served welder to join a globally recognised leader in the design and manufacturing of fittings for the tank container and transport sectors.
Itis a permanent position
Working hours:
Night Shift ; Mon to Thurs 10 pm – 07:30 am
Responsibilities:
- Performed TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel to precise tolerances in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Prepared, assembled, and welded pressure-retaining and structural components used in transport and storage systems.
- Operated fabrication equipment such as grinders, plasma cutters, and positioners to complete components to specification.
- Conducted visual and dimensional inspection of welds to ensure compliance with ISO and ASME standards.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with welding equipment, including MIG/MAG and TIG, with proficiency in designated welding methods.
- Previous experience with robotic welding systems is a plus.
- Experience with seam welding is preferred.
- Familiarity with laser welding and associated equipment is considered beneficial.
