Exam Invigilator

Hours: Sessional

Play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and smooth running of examinations in a professional and supportive environment.

We are excited to offer this opportunity for a reliable and organised exam invigilator to join our team.

In this role you will:

  • Set up exam rooms and check student ID.
  • Supervise exams, prevent malpractice, and support students.
  • Maintain exam security and accurate records.
  • Assist with access arrangements and emergencies.
  • Collect and return exam materials securely.
  • Attend training and follow College policies.

Criteria

Essential:

  • Level 2 English and Maths
  • Excellent written and spoken communication
  • Conscientious with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using technology and troubleshooting basic IT issues
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible—especially during exam periods
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Calm, professional, and discreet under pressure
  • Willing to learn and follow procedures

Desirable:

  • Experience in education or exam environments
  • Understanding of UK exam processes
  • Experience working with young adults or in customer-facing roles
  • Confident managing groups and maintaining order
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a reassuring presence
