- Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons in electrical theory, practical skills, and safety procedures to learners at all levels (e.g., beginners, apprentices, or advanced students).
- Design, review, and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessments in line with relevant curriculum standards (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Provide one-to-one and group support to learners, including additional tutoring where necessary, to help them reach their full potential.
- Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of progress and achievement.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting safe working practices in practical sessions.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and developments, integrating relevant changes into the curriculum.
- Prepare learners for assessments, practical exams, and employment through structured support and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and awarding bodies to ensure best practices and alignment with employability standards.
- Monitor learner progress and retention rates, contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
- Conduct learner inductions and manage associated administrative tasks efficiently.
- Deliver learning sessions according to a planned timetable as agreed with the line manager.
- Work with the Academy Manager and team members to deliver qualifications meeting both Learning Curve Group and awarding body requirements.
- Create and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), incorporating SMART targets and regular review checkpoints.
- Accurately complete attendance registers and required documentation, ensuring timely communication with relevant teams.
- Monitor and report on learner attendance and performance, providing regular updates to management.
- Implement systems to support learner retention, achievement, and progression.
- Complete assessments and documentation within required deadlines to meet awarding body and organizational standards.
- Submit learner portfolios for interim and final verification in accordance with internal moderation requirements.
- Participate in learner disciplinary procedures when necessary.
- Maintain a current log of departmental equipment, taking measures to prevent loss or theft.
- Attend standardisation meetings and staff briefings at designated centers.
- Take part in internal moderation and quality assurance activities as required.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment in line with current health and safety legislation, including regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain accurate CPD records.
- Ensure the learning environment remains clean, safe, and well-maintained for both staff and learners.
- Support weekend course delivery on a rotational basis as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by management.
- Provide support, advice, and guidance to learners, colleagues, and stakeholders as part of everyday responsibilities.

Essentia Criteria
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Recognised Electrical Qualification (or willing to work towards) – Minimum Level 3 NVQ
- Recognised Teaching Qualification (or willing to work towards) (Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PGCE, Cert ED etc)
- Recognised Assessing Qualification (or willing to work towards) (CAVA OR TAQA etc)
