The successful post-holder will work within Swansea's busy City Centre the transformation of which is a key priority for the Council.

It is an extremely diverse and challenging role but your main duties will include providing operational assistance and responding to queries from residents and visitors, liaising with local business and BID, carrying out foot patrols and surveys and distributing information, undertaking relevant enforcement duties, reporting and following-up problems, liaising with relevant partners to tackle anti-social behaviour, street vulnerability and other problems, carrying out minor maintenance tasks, facilitating access and assisting with the on-site management of commercial lettings schemes, events and other on-street activities. The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to gain experience in developing and implementing relevant operational projects that improve the safety, security and/or attractiveness of the City Centre.

The Ranger Service is run on a rota basis which includes working pre-arranged weekends and bank holidays. The rota also reflects the seasonal demands of the festive and other key periods and there is also a requirement to work some evenings.
