We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at The Nightingale Centre, a busy youth hostel and conference centre set in the heart of The Peak District.
About the Role
You’ll play a key part in keeping our guests and staff well-fed, preparing tasty, nutritious meals for groups of all ages. The role involves preparing breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals, catering for a variety of dietary needs. You’ll work closely with our small team to plan menus, order supplies, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a kitchen or catering environment (professional qualifications a bonus, but not essential)
- Ability to cook for groups, with confidence in meeting different dietary requirements
- A positive team player who can also work independently
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety
