We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The role involves assisting with personal care, supporting daily activities, and ensuring patients’ comfort, safety, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
- Document patient progress and report changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement tailored care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Drive patients to appointments or activities when required
Skills & Requirements
- Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Mandatory experience in a care home or home care setting
- Familiarity with care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families
- Ability to work well in a team and also independently
- Valid driving license (if driving duties required)
