About the role and team
This is a hybrid role based within our newly refurbished Birmingham office, working as part of the supportive and collaborative Property Charging team. The team is known for its specialist expertise in real estate matters, working with a diverse client base including housing providers, charities, local authorities, and private clients. As a valued team member, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate administration of property transactions and related legal work.
Key Responsibilities Include the following -Carry out property list checks, including the use of Land Registry map search to confirm title numbers and property details.
Obtain title documents and order priority searches from the Land Registry, tracking receipt and managing follow-ups.
Liaise with search providers and third parties, including requesting planning documents from local authority portals and obtaining quotes for searches.
Prepare and manage requisition slips and client fund requests, ensuring accuracy in all money in/out processes.
Use Excel to review and report on search results, employing functions such as pivot tables and lookups to organise and compare property data.
Managing file opening and closure processes, including all associated correspondence and documentation
Draft and submit notices of charge, liaise with indemnity insurance providers for amendments, and assist with electronic file management.
