Overview
Are you a talented accountant looking for a role where your skills are valued, your ideas are heard, and your work-life balance is respected? We're looking for the next member of our team.
This is a unique opportunity for a newly qualified ACA/ACCA professional ready to take on significant responsibility as an Accounts & Tax Senior. At Indigo Green, we pride ourselves on our client-focused approach and a culture that champions efficiency and mutual support. We understand the importance of flexibility – whether it's for a school assembly or a sports day, we've got you covered.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will be the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, managing their accountancy needs throughout the year. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Client Relationship Management: Being the go-to contact for a dedicated list of clients, addressing their queries and needs proactively.
- Accounts Preparation: Preparing accurate annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Tax Compliance: Preparing comprehensive tax returns for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and individuals.
- Bookkeeping & Payroll: Managing bookkeeping for some clients and preparing fortnightly, monthly, or other regular payrolls.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Responding to a variety of client queries as they arise, often requiring a "forensic" problem-solving approach, especially with Xero issues.
You'll need to be highly organised and adept at self-managing your workload, ensuring timely communication with clients to gather information and avoid last-minute rushes. The ability to quickly switch between different tasks and client needs is also essential.
What We're Looking For:
- Essential: Experience working within an accountancy practice is crucial for both roles.
- Essential: Strong proficiency in cloud accounting principles and software.
- Preferred: Direct experience with Xero accounting software.
- Highly Valued: Experience in a general accountancy practice, acting as a broad client contact rather than specialising in one department.
- Accounts & Tax Senior: Newly qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Problem-solver: With a keen eye for detail and the ability to "unpick" complex issues.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, with a focus on clear client output.
- Highly Organised: Exceptional self-management and planning abilities.
- Adaptable: Capable of quickly switching between diverse tasks and client requirements.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary:
- Up to £30,000 per annum
- Flexible Working: Open to both full-time and part-time applicants (minimum 24 hours per week).
- Pension Scheme
- Holiday Allowance
- Professional Development: We cover the cost of your annual ACCA and ACA professional memberships.
- A laid-back, collaborative, and supportive work environment where your flexibility needs are understood.
- The opportunity to make a real impact and directly contribute to client success.
Location:
This role is office-based at our office in Kingsland, Leominster.
