Do you love working with children and young people and want to help make a significant difference to their lives?

If so, we are looking for a Children’s Home Support Worker at our well equipped children’s home in Basingstoke.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and be part of a supportive and dynamic environment where your contributions are valued.
The Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of children and young people in our care. Working within our established Model of Care 'Pillars of Parenting' you will focus on each child’s unique strengths to help them grow, thrive, and achieve positive outcomes.

This is a hands-on role that requires a child-centred approach and the ability to build warm, trusting relationships. You will be a consistent and positive role model, supporting children’s development and helping them work towards their personal goals. We are committed to equipping our team with the skills and knowledge needed to provide nurturing, effective care.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will form positive and supportive relationships with children, their families and professionals, working collaboratively to develop individual care and placement plans. You will actively encourage children to reach their full potential, respond to health needs, and maintain accurate records using appropriate systems.

You will contribute to a safe and nurturing environment by assessing risks, following behaviour management plans (including Team Teach strategies), and addressing child protection concerns in line with procedures. You will also engage in ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, raising any concerns with the management team as needed.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for someone who can build warm, encouraging relationships with children to support their growth and development. You will need to demonstrate emotional awareness, both in yourself and in your interactions with others, and be physically able to take part in all aspects of Team Teach.

A commitment to helping children reach their full potential is essential. You should also bring a proactive, resilient attitude and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people, working collaboratively as part of a team to create a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

You will work a shift pattern, whereby you will work shifts which include weekends and sleep in duties, flexible working requests can be considered. Additional enhancements are paid for evenings, weekends and sleep ins (terms and conditions apply).
