Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, ensuring their well-being and development. This position requires a proactive approach to care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Duties
- Assist individuals in daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to the needs of each individual.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a supportive environment.
- Drive individuals to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and document progress, maintaining accurate records of care provided.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care delivered.
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their development.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and communication purposes is beneficial.
- A strong ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with both children and adults is essential.
- Experience in developing care plans or similar documentation will be an advantage.
