We’re now expanding our Passive Fire division and seeking an experienced, proactive Working Foreman to lead and deliver fire safety remedial projects. If you’re hands-on, solution-focused, and passionate about high standards, this is a role where your work truly matters.
This role will cover our South-East projects and are looking for 2 individuals, one to cover East of London and one to cover West
About the Role
As a Working Foreman, you’ll take responsibility for leading small site teams and subcontractors, ensuring remedial fire safety works are completed to the highest standard. This includes a mix of on-the-tools work and site coordination, primarily focused on fire door upgrades, replacements, and other passive fire protection tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out and oversee fire door maintenance, upgrades, replacements, and other remedial fire safety works
Lead by example on-site, maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism
Coordinate small teams of tradespeople and subcontractors, managing day-to-day site activity
Ensure all work is completed to Harmony and compliance standards (e.g. BM TRADA)
Conduct pre-work and post-work inspections, ensuring quality and certifiability
Manage on-site materials, deliveries, and waste, ensuring a clean, safe working environment
Act as the key on-site contact for residents, clients, and site managers
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and complete necessary documentation
Report regularly to the Project Manager on progress, issues, and team performance
What You’ll Need
Proven experience in fire door installation, maintenance, or passive fire protection
Prior supervisory or team-leading experience in a construction or fire safety environment
Strong working knowledge of compliance standards (BM TRADA or similar desirable)
Good problem-solving and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with a professional, calm approach to resident interaction
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed
