Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Working foreman/woman preferably with a carpentry/general building background to work alongside, oversee and manage our small But ever growing team on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a proactive approach to supervising staff, coordinating tasks, and maintaining safety protocols within the work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and work "on the tools" and manage a team of workers to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate work schedules and allocate resources effectively to optimise workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Collaborate with management to implement improvements in processes and procedures for enhanced efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a relevant industry.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and management.
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to the workplace.
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team while fostering a positive working atmosphere.
