Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and possess a strong understanding of various techniques and tools. This role involves working with both hand and power tools to create, assemble, and finish wooden products. The Woodworker will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood materials.
- Fabricate wooden components according to specifications and design plans.
- Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in fitting pieces together.
- Conduct painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage in ongoing training to improve skills related to electrical work, masonry, or other relevant areas as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in woodworking or carpentry is preferred.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in woodworking tasks.
- Knowledge of joinery techniques and the ability to assemble complex structures.
- Experience in painting and finishing wood products is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- A background in electrical or masonry work is a plus but not essential.
