Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgeable Wellbeing Coordinator to lead our initiatives aimed at promoting health and wellbeing within our Care Home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social care, public engagement, and activity provision, coupled with excellent teaching and public speaking skills. This role is essential in fostering a culture of wellness, providing support to residents, families, employees, and implementing effective wellbeing throughout the home.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive wellbeing strategies that address the physical, mental, and emotional health of employees.
- Conduct assessments to identify the health needs of staff and tailor programmes accordingly.
- Provide training sessions on topics such as nutrition, stress management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with external health professionals to enhance programme offerings and ensure best practices are followed.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars that promote awareness of health issues and encourage participation in wellbeing activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and public health trends to inform programme development.
- Monitor the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives through feedback and assessment tools, making adjustments as necessary.
- Serve as a resource for employees seeking guidance on health-related matters.
Requirements
- A degree in Nursing or Public Health is preferred; relevant certifications will be considered.
- Proven experience in teaching or public speaking, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Strong understanding of nutrition principles and their impact on overall wellbeing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for simplifying complex medical terminology for broader understanding.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
