Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This role combines warehouse duties with driving responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations in both areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management and a strong understanding of materials handling, along with the ability to operate a forklift and manage inventory effectively.
Duties
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials as needed.
- Manage stock levels using a warehouse management system, including picking and packing orders for dispatch.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and ensuring proper inventory rotation.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation, applying mechanical knowledge when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential.
- Proficiency in using a forklift and familiarity with materials handling techniques.
- Understanding of warehouse management systems, preferably AS400.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role.
- Experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are required for effective stocking and inventory management.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
