Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team on a temporary basis. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This temporary position is expected to be for 3-6 months, to provide additional support throughout peak season. Working hours for this role are 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Duties
Your daily duties will include:
- To work with a small team of operatives, performing picking and packing of orders accurately for shipping
- To ensure all orders and workload duties are completed to given timescales using the handheld scanners
- Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and movements.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring stocking and organisation within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from incoming shipments, ensuring all items are handled properly to prevent damage.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying that all shipments are complete and accurate.
Skills
Essential
- Previous warehouse experience, particularly in materials handling and logistics
- Strong skills in stocking, picking & packing, as well as shipping & receiving processes
- Familiarity with using handheld scanners
- Able to perform heavy lifting safely and previous experience in manual handling
Desirable
- Proficiency in operating forklifts is desirable; certification would be required.
