Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker/Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by assisting in loading, unloading, receipting and dispatch of goods. Picking and Packing, storage of goods, driving to deliver goods. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards in our warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of goods to include condition and quantity checks.
- Check goods against purchase order.
- Picking and packing of goods based on delivery notes issued.
- Booking goods in to correct bin location.
- Dispatching correct goods to correct destination using carriers or own transport.
- Following all ISO procedures appertaining to the warehousing function.
- Performing vehicle visual safety checks prior to driving on a daily basis.
- Using fork lift truck equipment to carry out duties.
- Adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
- Stock takes at a frequency and time to be determined by the company’s needs.
- Maintaining warehouse to Foreman's instruction.
- Any other duties as directed from time to time by Management.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Complete awareness of all ISO routines affecting warehouse work.
- Basic understanding of units of measure.
- Reasonable levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Fork lift Operators Certificate.
- Working at height regulations.
- Full knowledge of warehouse practices and safety procedures.
- Trained in manual handling techniques.
- Full UK Manual Driving license required
