Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transport plans that optimise routes and reduce costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Manage logistics operations, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth transportation processes.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and provide exceptional customer service.
- Utilise computer literacy skills to operate transport management software and maintain accurate records..
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in transport efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to align transport strategies with overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a logistics or transport planning role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, for effective communication and scheduling.
- A solid understanding of supply chain principles and customer service best practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
