Trainee Aerospace Paint Sprayer

Nortam Finishing Ltd, specialists in finishing Commercial, Aerospace, and Defence components, are seeking a Trainee Aerospace Paint Sprayer to join our Exeter team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with prior experience in commercial paint spraying who are looking to develop their skills further in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-standard paint spraying using a spray gun to meet company and customer specifications.
- Prepare and mask components to ensure precision finishes within tight tolerances.
- Maintain tools and equipment in line with company standards.
- Complete all relevant paperwork, including job cards and work instructions, requiring a good grasp of the English language and basic literacy skills.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Previous commercial paint spraying experience is essential, preferably within industries such as automotive, manufacturing, commercial or similar.
- Basic knowledge of spray gun operation and maintenance.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and company guidelines.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of professional drawings is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in a related industry (e.g., vehicle maintenance, body repair) or completion of a relevant qualification will be highly valued.
- Strong attention to detail and task accuracy.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Basic maths skills
- Strong adherence to standard operating procedures and quality management frameworks.
The Ideal Candidate:

Please note: This is not a painting and decorating role. Candidates with experience in metal component finishing using spray guns will be given preference. Experience in spray painting within a commercial setting is necessary. Candidates without the relevant previous experience need not apply.
