Are you passionate about food? We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sales Advisor to join the Farm Shop team at our Garden Centre in Esher on a temporary basis for the Christmas season.

What does the role involve?
The role will support in the running of the Farm Shop departments.
We are seeking an individual who has a keen eye for detail and can deliver a first-class customer experience through sharing their own genuine passion for food to maximise sales.
Responsibilities
- Provide our customers with an exceptional level of service by assisting them in selecting products, answering questions, providing recommendations and samples.
- Ensure Garsons merchandising and housekeeping standards of the department are maintained.
- Ensure displays are innovative, practical, and maintained, and that these are refreshed on a regular basis.
- Adhere to food safety practices and procedures, always maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Operate deli and bakery equipment such as slicer, oven etc.
- Order product using our retail management system.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Carry out everyday duties such as advising customers; stock replenishment; stock taking; stock rotation; maintaining records; lifting and moving stock.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
- A genuine passion for food and a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience within a retail or culinary environment.
- Competence and confidence to work with computers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
Contract: This is a temporary, full-time role. Starting September through to the end of December 2025.
Hours: A fortnightly rota pattern of Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.10pm or 9.30am to 6.10pm with a contracted day off each week, plus working alternate weekends.
