We are searching for a reliable, competent all-rounder to join a progressive and innovative 3200-acre farm near Annan, Dumfriesshire. The farm includes a 500MW AD plant, largescale arable operations alongside beef and sheep enterprises.
The successful applicant should hold the relevant qualifications and be competent in their duties and will enjoy working as part of a busy team working in an efficient manner.
The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include:
- To assist the Farm Manager in arable and livestock based duties on the in-hand farm.
- Tractor and machinery operations.
- Assisting with supplying and loading the AD plan with feed stocks.
- Ability to liaise and work alongside Agricultural Contractors.
Other desirable duties to be undertaken include:
- Ability to maintain and service machinery.
- Assisting with maintenance of farm buildings and infrastructure.
Requirements of the role are:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience of tractor operation.
- Relevant industry training certificates such as ATV, tele-handler and first aid are desirable but not essential.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Able to work using their own initiative and competently carry out duties with minimal supervision.
- Energetic can do attitude.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety.
The successful candidate will be provided with training for any relevant or necessary qualifications that are reasonably required to undertake the role.
