About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and experienced female Support Worker to provide one-to-one support to a young woman in her early 20s. She has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Disorganised Attachment Disorder, Dyspraxia, and Anxiety, and requires someone who can offer patient, trauma-informed support tailored to her unique needs.

Due to her preference and the nature of the support required, this position is open to female applicants only (Exemption under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).

Key Responsibilities:

As a support worker, provide consistent support during waking night shifts to an individual with complex emotional needs and a background of trauma. The individual may present with behaviours such as ligature risk, so a calm, responsive, and emotionally resilient approach is essential. You will offer a reassuring presence throughout the night, responding appropriately to any emotional or behavioural distress. An understanding of autism, anxiety, and neurodiversity is important, and full specialist training will be provided.
