- Unqualified : £13.25/hour (rising after 6-month probation)
- Qualified : £13.50/hour (rising after 6-month probation)

About the Role
We’re seeking reliable and compassionate Waking Night Support Workers for therapeutic children’s residential homes supporting young people with EBD. You’ll be a vital presence through the night, ensuring safety, stability, and emotional reassurance for children who may struggle with sleep, trauma, or anxiety.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment during the night
- Monitor and respond to any needs or incidents sensitively and effectively
- Carry out domestic tasks and night-time checks as required
- Complete accurate and thorough records throughout your shift
- Promote a child-focused and trauma-informed approach in all practice
Requirements
- Prior experience working nights in care, support, or residential settings (preferred)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or similar (or willingness to work toward it)
- Ability to remain awake, alert, and responsive throughout night shifts
- Driver preferred due to rural locations
- Enhanced DBS required
- Sponsorship applicants : Minimum of 3 years UK work history required with 2-year commitment
Shift Pattern
- Waking Nights Only: 7pm–7am or 8pm–8am
- Rotas are managed by the home and aim to balance consistency and sustainability
