The post holder will support the Deputy Chief Finance Officer and Head of Procurement in identifying and delivering procurement efficiencies, wider cost and service improvements.
The post holder will develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external to the Trust promoting a culture of shared responsibility for procurement issues within the context of Trust objectives.
The post holder will work in collaboration with the Head of Procurement on strategic procurement matters which impact on the operational workings of the Procurement Team.
Working with divisional colleagues the post holder will drive and deliver directorates approach to ongoing cost improvement programmes on a forward plan basis that is robustly and transparently managed.
In partnership with the Head of Procurement produce and deliver the Trust’s procurement strategy.
Working with the Head of Procurement the post holder will ensure that there are appropriate systems and processes in place to deliver and drive forward the service improvement agenda to achieve efficiency gains and improve the operational effectiveness.
The post holder will deliver key strategic objectives including identifying ‘value for money’ opportunities.
