Procurement Lead

Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement processes within the ERP system to ensure effective and efficient sourcing and purchasing activities.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance on best practices.
- Manage and maintain the contract register databases, ensuring compliance with local government procurement regulations.
- Utilize SAP Ariba and S4Hana to streamline procurement operations and enhance data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the council's objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on procurement data analysis.
Person Specification
- Demonstrated ability to track down, assimilate, and reconcile complex data effectively.
- Proven experience working in high-pressure environments with the flexibility to meet changing business needs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and associated analytical tools.
- In-depth knowledge of local government procurement systems and processes.
- Familiarity with contract register databases, particularly within regulated environments.
- Experience in using SAP Ariba and S4Hana is essential.
