Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated social media and marketing specialist to join our team and drive our legal brand's online presence across multiple jurisdictions. As the social media and marketing specialist, you will be at the forefront of our digital initiatives, responsible for crafting engaging content, analysing trends, and developing strategies to connect with our audience.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Social Media Development: Plan and develop social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement. Collaborate with each head of jurisdiction to understand priority practice areas and tailor campaigns that highlight the firm’s expertise within their jurisdiction.
- Compelling Content Creation: Develop content for our social media platforms across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook for each jurisdiction, encompassing blog posts, articles, multimedia content, and posts. You will work closely with fee earners in the writing of targeted content to attract clients. Must have experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
- Business Development Materials: Design and produce business development materials, including business cards, brochures, presentations (including but not limited to promotional films/videos), and other client-facing materials, ensuring they align with the firm’s brand identity and marketing strategy. In addition, will assist in creating and providing content for podcasts and webinars.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure consistent application of the firm’s brand identity across all channels and assets, including the website, email signatures, marketing materials, presentations, and digital content. Maintain and update brand guidelines as needed to support a unified and professional image.
- Digital Advertising and SEO: – Plan, execute, and optimise Google ads and paid social media advertising campaigns to target specific audiences, increase website traffic, and improve click-through rates (CTR). Work with our front-end developer to implement SEO best practices across the company’s website and content to enhance visibility, search ranking, and lead generation.
- Website Monitoring & Design Collaboration: Regularly review and monitor the website to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and user experience. Collaborate with the front-end developer by providing page design concepts and layout guidance for implementation, ensuring the website remains engaging, professional, and aligned with the firm’s brand identity.
- Content Calendar Management: Maintain a content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns, ensuring a consistent and timely online presence in areas of law and ESG relevant to the audience and time of year.
- Campaign Management: Analyse the existing and future advertising campaigns so that they are enhancing brand visibility and engagement. Should a campaign not deliver, then assess whether the visuals or the audience need to be adjusted.
- ROI Measurement: Set clear and measurable goals for campaigns, meticulously tracking their performance and demonstrating Return on Investment (ROI) to showcase the impact of our marketing efforts.
- Data-Driven Insights & Reporting: Regularly assess the company’s digital marketing performance, delivering end-of-month reports for directors that include ROI, social media analytics, paid campaigns, business development materials, events, and ESG initiatives. Provide key insights and recommendations to adjust the overall marketing plan, ensuring alignment with long-term company strategy.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with the latest digital advertising trends, how both legal services are acquired and marketing techniques using SEO monitoring.
- Customer Interaction: Monitor and respond promptly to customer feedback, comments, and social media posts, fostering a positive and engaging online community around our brand.
- Competitor Analysis: Regularly monitor and analyse competitor social media strategies, identifying opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
- Live Events, Webinars & Networking Opportunities: Coordinate and promote live events, webinars, and Q&A sessions across social media platforms to drive audience participation and engagement. Actively research and identify external events, conferences, and speaking opportunities for lawyers, partners, and directors to attend, enhancing the firm’s visibility and positioning as thought leaders within the legal sector.
- Employee Advocacy: Develop an employee program to leverage the personal networks of team members and amplify brand messaging.
- ESG Initiatives: Manage and implement the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, identifying new opportunities to enhance sustainability, community engagement, and responsible business practices. Promote these initiatives through marketing channels to strengthen the firm’s reputation and visibility.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in marketing and advertising in Legal Services or any other relevant professional services such as financial services or accountancy.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and Canva.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful social media strategies.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in utilising social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.
- Creative thinking and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in measuring and showcasing ROI for digital marketing campaigns.
- Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and evolving digital technologies.
