Salary: Scale 6 (range point 18 to 22) £30,559 to £32,654 FTE. Actual salary £24,132

Contract: Permanent. Term time plus 5 training days (39 weeks), plus 2 weeks to be worked across the summer holidays by agreement – total of 41 weeks per year

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.15 to 15.15

Cambourne Village College and Cambourne Sixth Form are seeking to appoint an organised, committed, positive and flexible person for the role of Sixth Form Support Coordinator.

This unique position combines providing guidance and pastoral care to our sixth formers, alongside administrative support for a range of Sixth Form functions and processes. Cambourne Sixth Form opened in September 2024 with 75 students, and we are excited to have seen significant growth as we approach the arrival of our second cohort. Given an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rating in March 2025, along with all other aspects of Cambourne Village College, the Sixth Form prides itself on giving young people an exceptional academic education alongside comprehensive pastoral support. It is an exciting time to take on a role in shaping this emerging provision and we look forward to hearing from candidates with a background in and passion for working with young people.

Cambourne Village College is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated, over-subscribed secondary school, eight miles from Cambridge. We opened as an academy of the Cam Academy Trust in September 2013. Our ethos is aspirational and inclusive, our staff is highly motivated, our pupils courteous and hard-working, and we have excellent facilities. A 350 place sixth form opened in September 2024, with capacity for 175 students in each of Years 12 and 13.
