HR Officer
Salary: Points 12-14 (£28,408 p.a. to £30,119 p.a.) on the SFCA Support Staff Pay Scale.
Wilberforce Sixth Form College are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking HR Officer to deliver high quality HR advice on a range of HR related issues.
As an HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in advising on HR issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and supporting the overall HR strategy of the college. You will be a key point of contact for staff, providing guidance and support on a range of HR matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on HR policies and procedures.
- Support recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Manage employee relations, including handling grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

- Excellent Communicator: You have strong interpersonal skills and can effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
- HR Expertise: You have a good understanding of HR principles and practices

Up to 37 hours per week, full year. Annual leave entitlement is 26 days plus Bank Holidays. Applications from candidates seeking a substantial part time-role (e.g. 32 hours per week or more) will be considered.
