About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations on a large-scale solar farm project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards, while coordinating site teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and schedules.
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of works.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain high construction standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and daily logs.
- Manage materials, plant, and equipment on site, ensuring efficient use.
- Address any issues or delays promptly to minimise project risk.
- Support toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing safety briefings.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, ideally within renewable energy, solar, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction site management, HSE regulations, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant site safety certifications (e.g., SSSTS / SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £250.00-£260.00 per day
