07:30am to 17:30pm Monday and Tuesday
07:30am to 16:30pm Wednesday to Friday
About You:
- Experience of driving a 3.5 Tonne drop side vehicle with tail lift
- Experience of Towing a Trailer
- A License to tow over 750kg with current Driver Card
- Have an understanding of safe loading and towing practices
- You will be smart in appearance – you need to take pride in yourself and your vehicle.
- Literacy and numeracy skills – need to be able to complete paperwork neatly and accurately
- An understanding of health and safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.

We are looking to recruit a permanent driver/hire desk assistant to join our friendly team at the Sheffield depot, assisting customers with the safe supply and transportation of plant, machinery and small tools to personal and business locations within the local area. Full training in demonstrating our machinery and equipment will be provided.
The Role:
- Working within a small team to ensure safe supply and transportation of equipment to customers.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the telephone.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks in line with government guidelines.
- Drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely; following at all times the traffic laws and highway code.
- To carry out deliveries and collections to our customers in a professional manner.
- Ensure that any equipment on the vehicle is secured and protected where necessary.
- Safe manual handling of goods on and off the vehicle.
- Keep an accurate record of deliveries and collections using delivery documentation.
- Maintain product knowledge in order to demonstrate to customers where necessary. (Training will be provided were necessary)
- Carry out other tasks and duties as required
- As the public face of the company, you will be well presented, communicate
professionally with customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work. Promoting a positive image and business principles.
