Assistant Branch Manager Career Opportunity – Camden
Join our friendly and ambitious Camden branch in a rewarding Assistant Branch Manager position. You’ll be pivotal in supporting the Branch Manager in all aspects of daily operations, leading by example to deliver outstanding customer service and contributing to the continued growth and success of the branch. Working Hours for Assistant Branch Manager – Camden
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, hours ranging between 07:00 to 18:00, and alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00. You’ll be part of a dedicated team in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Main Responsibilities
- Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day efficient running of the branch, delivering business objectives and KPIs
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members, actively promoting our values and a culture of excellent customer service
- Assist in the management of branch sales, margin, and profitability, identifying opportunities to maximise performance
- Ensure the branch is safe, compliant and operates in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation
- Develop strong customer relationships and resolve complex queries, ensuring a positive customer journey at every interaction
- Support stock and inventory management, including audits, stock rotation and effective internal controls
- Contribute to branch marketing, local business development and promotional activity
- Foster a positive working environment where people are recognised and encouraged to develop
Skills and Experience – What We’re Looking For
- Relevant Sales and Leadership experience within the builders merchant is essential
- Previous supervisory/management experience, or demonstrated leadership within a customer-focused environment
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand financial and operational targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Numeracy and IT literacy with confidence using sales, CRM, or inventory management systems
- Commitment to upholding health & safety standards and championing a compliant, safe working environment
