About Us:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Frozen and Chilled Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the purchasing process for all Frozen and Chilled Products and services required by the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal pricing, delivery timelines, and product quality.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate potential vendor options.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favourable deals and cost savings.
- Monitor inventory levels and order stock based on demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, logistics, and operations, to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate records of purchases and vendor agreements.
- Assist in budget preparation and track purchasing expenses to ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Resolve any issues related to delayed deliveries, defective products, or vendor disputes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in sourcing materials and services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in purchasing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
