We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to provide updates on care and support needs.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes as necessary.
- Drive residents to appointments or community activities when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
