Job brief:
We are looking to recruit a Sales and Events co-ordinator to support the Sales Manager with co-ordinating our existing business and to assist in bringing in new business with a primary focus on delivering a high level of customer service and satisfaction whilst building strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To always ensure excellent communication with the Sales Manager and clients whether verbally, by telephone or email and direct contact.
To always demonstrate good organisation and administration skills
Demonstrate a commitment to handling all customer enquires in a professional yet friendly way ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.
Arrange and carry out client show rounds making sure the “scene is set” beforehand.
To host events and to welcome guests attending those events and functions.
Display a positive attitude and always promote the Hotel and its facilities with pride, endeavouring to increase sales, conversions, and always upselling where possible.
To attend training as and when required.
To attend Sales and Events meeting if required.
To attend any open days and other networking events if requested.
Always comply with GDPR practices and policies
Assist with the production of any reports and forecasts as required.
To be aware of and strictly adhere to Fire procedures, Health and Safety policies and procedures satisfying statutory legislation
Perform any other tasks as deemed reasonable by Management
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, fluent spoken English and a professional yet friendly telephone manner.
Previous experience in a Sales and Events role is an advantage
Ability to display a “can do” attitude, conveying friendliness and confidence when dealing with enquiries and in face to face meetings.
Have a very hight standard of personal presentation, hygiene and grooming.
Be a problem solver and able to work under pressure and with deadlines
Previous use of a hotel PMS is advantageous.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £19,500.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 per week
